IMO identifies cargo distribution, stability and cargo reactions among the matters addressed by the IMSBC framework for solid bulk cargoes. Our practical view is that a Supramax or Ultramax comparison should describe the actual cargo and handling plan before relying on a vessel class or a regional market label. Our suggested desk review records cargo declaration, quantity, hold and handling requirements, loading and discharge arrangements, vessel particulars and the operating window. This is an operating checklist, not a claim about the current availability or acceptance of a particular vessel. The price table and chart show actual, dated public energy observations. They can help structure a discussion of cost exposure, but a commodity-price change alone does not establish a change in freight. Comparable current owner indications and cargo dates are needed for a voyage-specific commercial comparison. |
