What the cluster does
Istanbul combines an owner cluster concentrated in short-sea, bulk and chemical trades with the Tuzla shipyard zone, which gives it something most owning centres lack: repair and newbuilding capacity within an hour of the office. Its position at the Turkish Straits also makes it the operational base for Black Sea trading.
- Repair and newbuilding at Tuzla
- Short-sea, bulk and chemical owning
- Black Sea trade operations
- Competitive technical labour costs
